Citizenship through immigration<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main way for people to gain Israeli citizenship is through immigration. At the same time, this can be complicated if the child\u2019s parents were neither married nor living together at the time of the child\u2019s birth. In these cases, the Israeli Ministry of Interior will likely demand more evidence if, for example, the father is Israeli and the mother is not. Citizenship through marriage<\/em><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a foreign citizen, including non-Jews, is married to an Israeli citizen, they are permitted to apply for citizenship under a naturalization process. This citizenship is gradually granted to the foreigner over a five year (at minimum) process.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a Jewish person wishes to make aliyah with a non-Jewish spouse, they are permitted to do so.
